For me the Haiti situation in the era of Social Media was very profound. Following the latest info, rooting for the texting campaign, and reporting the figures it raised to my friends had a calming effect. It gave me hope and eased my feeling of helplessness facing such a grave tragedy.

Here is the CERT bulletin on the IE flaws that the Chinese hackers exploited "Aurora" to hack Google accounts. There are links within the bulletin to work a rounds for some of the vulnerabilities but I'd say it's easier just to use Firefox until it's fixed.
